Never Ending Stories in The Village Purwokerto: European Atmosphere
During the first year’s holidays in 2018, I was excited to visit a new destination: The Village Purwokerto. The Village Purwokerto is a tourism place with a classic European-style building with such a variety of picturesque views. It located in Dusun 1, Rempoah, Baturaden District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java 53151, Indonesia.
Once I arrived at the location, I was impressed by its magnificent design. The style designed made me feel curious. Then I booked the ticket to explore the whole area during my day. It was just IDR 25k on the weekend for entrance. In my opinion, the entrance ticket was affordable when people felt tired from their work and wanted to relax at the weekend with a good place sightseeing. After I got my ticket, I entered the area. The location was quite huge and clean with numerous facilities and Instagrammable spots to take pictures.
From the left side, there was a large artificial boat such as in a fairy tale, or similar to the boat in the Titanic’s movie. The only difference was the boat was made of wood, and there was a guard at the entrance. However, it was a beautiful boat I have ever seen, especially in the evening.
Next, there was an artificial lake with beautiful boats. Visitors who took a boat can enjoy the whole of the Village Purwokerto while boating because the canal surrounded the entire park. At that time, most young visitors tried to ride a classic car, and some of them just took pictures without riding. However, I didn’t do it. Furthermore, there was a quite large flower garden with a variety of beautiful flowers. Also, in the middle of the lake, there was an outdoor place to eat and a bridge that connected the outdoor dining area with the food court. Many visitors took pictures with their friends, family, or their couples all the time.
For me, The Village Purwokerto was family-friendly and suitable for kids with a warm atmosphere. Childre who came here with their family, learned while playing in a children’s playground. Besides, The Village Park has a Mini Zoo with treated animals such as Rabbits, Turkeys, Cows, Birds, and Ponies. So, children learned many things about animals while enjoying their holidays. Then, some of them also rode a mini-train called Happy Train with the price of IDR 12.000 and their parents sat down waiting for their kids.
Moved from Mini Zoo, I took a short break at the gelato point because the heat scorched my skin. The ice cream was very tempting to enjoy with many variants of gelato and we are free to buy according to our tastes. The price for a scoop of Ice Cream was IDR 12.500, and IDR 5000 for the cone. The total price was IDR 17.500 but it was okay because Ice cream is one of my favorite foods.

After I felt fresh and satisfied with the ice cream, I went to the food court. This is the place that I did not want to miss. Once I entered, there were quite a lot of visitors. The place was cool, spacious, and also comfortable. The food courts also offered many western as well as local foods and beverages. However, I bought Ayam Geprek Bae because I like spicy chicken and a milkshake to quench my hunger.
After that, I decided to back home. Unfortunately, I still felt hungry, so I chose to eat Soto Sokaraja. One of the most delicious foods in Purwokerto. It contained rice cake (Ketupat), sliced scallions, peanut sauce, crackers, and also a special hot sauce that added to the enjoyment of Soto Sokaraja.
If you love to Travel then you owe it to yourself to come to the Village Purwokerto. Overall, during my day in the Village Purwokerto, it was an awesome tourism place I have visited. It was perfect with many facilities such as a large parking lot, a children’s playground, mini zoo, beautiful canal with boats, beautiful garden flowers, food courts, and clean toilets. However, the most interesting for me was because it has a mosque (a place for Muslim prayer). So, I recommended this attraction park to visit whenever you are in Purwokerto.
